Cancellations are flexible! 

At campstar we understand the uncertainty that the COVID-19 crisis has caused when planning our trips. Below you can find links and information on cancellations, how to cancel your booking, COVID-19 country information and links around the world so you can book with confidence.

Apollo, Star RV, Cheapa Campa and Hippie 

Australia 

• If cancelled 61+ days prior to pick-up - No fee (booking deposit refundable).
• If cancelled 60 to 22 days prior to pick-up - 10% of Total Rental (minimum $250.00).
• If cancelled 21 to 7 days prior to pick-up - 20% of Total Rental (minimum $250.00).
• If cancelled less than 6 days or less prior to pick-up - 50% of Total Rental (minimum $250.00).
• If cancelled on the day of pick-up or no show - 100% of Total Rental (minimum $250.00).
  There is no refund for late pick-up or early return of an RV.

Apollo and Bunk Campers

UK / Ireland

• If cancelled 30+ days prior to pick up: 30% of the rental price (minimum charge £300).
• If cancelled 30 to 15 days prior to pick up: 50% of the rental price.
• If cancelled 14 days or less prior to pick up or no show: 95% of the rental price.

Germany

• If cancelled 90+ days prior to pick up: Free of charge.
• If cancelled 89-50 days prior to pick up: 30% of the rental price (minimum €300).
• If cancelled 49 to 15 days prior to pick up: 50% of the rental price.
• If cancelled 14 days or less prior to pick up or no show: 95% of the rental price.

*Due to the covid-19 crisis, They have put in place a flexible option that allows you to cancel your booking or postpone your dates up to 48 hours before pick-up. We keep your payment as credit for 1 year to provide you with maximum flexibility regarding your travel dates!

There is no charge if you cancel your reservation within 24 hours before pick up.
If you don’t cancel within 24 hours before pick up and don’t show up we will charge 30% of the total amount from your credit card.
You are not able to change your booking if there are less than 24 hours until your booking starts.

*Because health is a priority, preventive measures regularly evolve to ensure everyone´s safety. So that you can continue to make travel plans, we provide you with the support you need to book carefree.
In case of cancellations up to 1 week before pick-up day, the amount paid will be refunded in full by bank transfer.
Cancellations less than 1 week before the start of the rental period, the amount paid will be returned in full, but always in the form of a voucher valid for 12 months.
Changes to the reservation will be possible up to 3 days before the pick-up day date.

If RV is booked and cancelled within 5 days there is "No Charge" when the RV departure date is greater than 60 days from the booking date. Bookings cancelled more than 5 days after the booking date are subject to the following cancellation charges:

Over 60 days prior to departure - $100

59-30 days prior to departure - 20% of the vehicle charge plus any one-way fee

29-15 days prior to departure - 50% of the vehicle charge plus any one-way fee

14 days to the day of departure and no shows - 100% of the booking total

From the day of a confirmed booking until 50 days before the beginning of the rental period (Pick Up), we will charge a processing fee of € 300.00

Between 49 to 15 days before the beginning of rental 50 % of the rental price but a minimum of € 300.00

Less than 15 days before the beginning of rental 80 % of rental price  At rental day/day of Pick Up or by no show 95 % of rental price *It is up to the Hirer to prove that no damage has occurred at all or to a lesser extent. The cancellation must be made in writing.

*Reservation "no-shows": A client failing to arrive on departure day or who declines a vehicle at departure is classified as a "departure day" cancellation.

Reservations can be cancelled free of charge up to 50 days before the start of the rental period.

For new bookings, In the event there are COVID-19 related government travel restrictions can be cancelled free of charge 60 days prior to departure.

All our rentals are fully refundable until 48 hours before the reserved start time of the booking. After that
time no refunds will be made for cancellations.

IndieCampers: FLEXIBLE CANCELLATION POLICY

Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, USA
If you cancel your reservation 15 or more days prior to the scheduled pick-up date, you will be reimbursed the whole amount you paid until that date. If you cancel your reservation less than 15 days and more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled check-in date, you can choose between a 50% refund of the amount you already paid until that date or receive a flexible travel voucher corresponding to 100% of the total amount already paid.

The travel voucher can be used for a trip in any location, any Indie Campers vehicle and any available date for pick-up until 1 year since the cancellation confirmation date. The voucher can be used more than one time up to that date until its amount has been fully used. If you book a trip at a higher price than the amount remaining in your travel voucher, you will simply need to pay the outstanding amount in order to confirm your reservation.

• If cancelled 1 – 21 calendar days prior to pick up: 20% of the total net booking value  
• If cancelled within 24 hours of Day of pickup or a no show: 100% of the total net booking value 

If the hirer's travel is affected by COVID-19/border restrictions, the fee will be waived if cancelled at least 24 hours prior to pick up.

• Within 42 days before pick-up, you lose the 25% 
• Less than41 days before pick-up you lose the 50% 
• Less than 14 days before pick-up you lose the 100%

In case of a cancellation, 20% of the total amount will be charged. This amount can be used up to 1 year as a credit towards a future booking.

If cancelled on the day of pick-up or no show - 100% of the rental cost will be charged.

Rent Easy

Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Sweden
A reservation cancellation fee pre-determined by the company may apply if you cancel your reservation. No fee shall apply if the cancellation is made at least seven days prior to the date of pick-up. The cancellation fee shall apply for those made six days or less prior to the date of pick-up. Cancellation Fee is 30% of the total amount of the reservation which corresponds to the pre-payment we require in order to book a car.

Roadsurfer

Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, UK, USA
In case of cancellation, the following applies:

- Between 0 and 48 hours prior to the agreed start of the rental, the total rental price including extras is payable to Roadsurfer.

- Between 48 hours and 29 days prior to the agreed rental start date, the total rental price including extras is payable to Roadsurfer. The Hirer can freely choose between:

• a cancellation voucher in the amount of the total rental price,
• a rebooking to a freely selectable period, or
• a rebooking to another vehicle category.

*The voucher is valid for three years from the date of re-booking or emission.

- Between 30 and 59 days prior to the agreed start of the hire period, the Hirer will be refunded up to 50% of the agreed total rental price at their request. Depending on the amount of the total rent refunded, the Hirer may freely choose, with regard to the remaining balance, between:

• a cancellation voucher between 50 and 100% of the total agreed rental price (depending on the amount of the chosen refund),
• a rebooking to a freely selectable period, or
• a rebooking to another vehicle category.

*The voucher is valid for three years from the date of re-booking or emission.

- Cancellation is free of charge if made at least 60 days prior to the agreed start of the hire period and the Hirer will be refunded any down payment made. If the trip was paid for with a cancellation or gift voucher, the Hirer will only receive a cancellation voucher in the amount of the agreed total rental price.

Spaceships

UK
Cancellation fees are as follows:

a) If cancelled 31+ days prior then forfeit 20% of gross rental
b) If cancelled 21-30 days prior then forfeit 50% of gross rental
c) If cancelled 8-20 days prior then forfeit 75% of gross rental
d) If cancelled 0- 7 days prior then forfeit 100% of gross rental

Please note this also applies to amending your booking and shortening the number of days. 

Travellers Autobarn

Australia, USA, New Zealand

Until 14 days before pick-up, no cancellation fee applies:

1. $200 – within 14 days of pick-up

2. 50% – within 7 days of pick-up

3. 100% – same day or no show cancellation

In case of a sudden lockdown – that involves country borders – your deposit of $200 will be transferred into a credit note. The credit note has no expiry date – is fully transferrable – and can be used with Travellers Autobarn in the USA or Australia.

This applies to all bookings with pick-ups within 14 days. If your pick-up is outside of 14 days a full refund will be provided.

In case of a positive covid test(proof) – within 14 days of your pick-up date – we will transfer your deposit into a credit note. The credit note has no expiry date.

Touring Cars:

Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden, UK
If your travel is affected by the pandemic, you can postpone your booking for any travel period until December 31st, 2022 for the same travel location, without any additional fees. For postponed bookings, we issue vouchers for the full paid value of the booking.

When postponing has been requested less than 30 days prior to departure, we issue vouchers for the paid amount of the booking, excluding a nonrefundable cancellation fee of 200 EUR / 2000 NOK / 2000 SEK / 170 GBP.

NOTE: an official document confirming the inability to travel due to COVID is required.

In case of a no-show, the booking will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee and cannot be postponed.

Vouchers cannot be sold, exchanged for cash, or combined with discounts or campaigns. Vouchers are not valid after the indicated expiry date.
