Climate

The northern part of the lake in the Garda-Trentino region which lies between the steep cliffs of an alpine mountain world with a unique flora, dominated by the 2200 m high Monte Baldo massif. The mountain world of the Brescian Alps is ideal for climbing and hiking and the constant wind blowing from the mountains attracts sailors and surfers from far away. The south with its gentle hills and Mediterranean climate is ideal for wine growing and its famous white and red wines. The wide range of campgrounds around Lake Garda and the mild Mediterranean climate are ideal for holidaymakers travelling in tents and camper vans.
