Nature lovers will love the abundance of National Parks that England has to offer. From the moors, meadows and wild landscapes of Northumberland National Park in the north of England, to the rustic, tranquil forests and coastline of the New Forest National Park in the South. England has 10 National Parks and 34 additional Areas of Natural Beauty (AONB) scattered across the country. Although there are designated campsites and camping areas, wild camping is not allowed, unlike in France. However, if a particular place strikes a chord try and find the landowner and ask if you can stay there. English people are generally very welcoming!
